Lead Generation & Lead Conversion Made Simple – Productivity #164

“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” – Albert Einstein

In this Productivity Nugget I talk about lead generation and lead conversion. We tend to make things complex. Making things complex is easy. I share with you what I feel lead generation and lead conversion are at its simplest form.

Are you making your Lead Generation too complex?

This isn’t rocket science. This isn’t even science. Business Development is about meeting people that have a need or desire for the product or service you offer.

You do that by first starting conversations, meeting people and learning about them.

Do they have a need or desire that you can help with?

You don’t. Ok. But who does?

That’s how you really serve and build a business.

Lead Conversion Made Simple

So great, you met some people. They might have a need or desire for your product or service, but not at this exact moment. So this is where lead conversion, follow up and maintaining the relationship matters.

Just remember lead generation is easy, lead conversion is hard.

I love this Darin! “The Conversation is the Relationship” – couldn’t agree more.

On keeping things simple ~ My dad gave me and my siblings a medalion he had designed when I was 10 years old. It shows the tip of an iceberg with a water line near the top, and the bulk of the iceberg below the water line. On it it had the letters SIBKIS which stands for: See It Big, Keep It Simple. My dad owned multiple oil and aquisition companies before he died last year and this is one of the strongest lessons he taught me.

It’s easy to make things complex and think we need this tool, or that tool, or this app and that technology.

Thanks for sharing the story of your dad Teri.
