All endeavor calls for the ability to tramp the last mile, shape the last plan, endure the last hours toil. The fight to the finish spirit is the one… characteristic we must posses if we are to face the future as finishers. – Henry David Thoreau
In this Productivity Nugget I share with you the importance of scoring when in the “Red Zone” for winning and success.
The Red Zone in football is when the offense gets inside the 20 yard line. It is getting close to scoring. If they don’t finish strong here, all the first downs mean nothing. They want to score a touch down or at the minimum score a field goal. But if they don’t finish, if they get nothing, it is a wasted opportunity.
How do you define your Red Zone?
Maybe its on finishing a project, or converting leads, or closing a transaction.
The team that can score inside the red zone gives itself a better opportunity to win.
The business that can take advantage of opportunity, that can finish will give itself a better opportunity to succeed.
