Lead Conversion – Not Always A Smooth Funnel

real estate lead conversion funnelSo many real estate coaches, real estate trainers and books talk about lead conversion as this simple, clean, fluid process.

Lead does this at Step A. You then do this or send this or say this. Lead now does this at Step B. In Step C this happens and you follow up after Step D. Step E and Step F are this and now you have a big fat commission check. Congrats!!!

If only it was that smooth. That easy. Reality gets in the way and smacks your lead conversion funnel right in the face though.

Your potential and customers and clients don’t care about your systems or your conversion funnel.

Real estate lead generation is easy, conversion is the hard stuff. So many things can go wrong.

Eventarc did a a great blog on the lead conversion funnel,

It’s really only a funnel shape in your head.  It is not smooth, and it is most definitely NOT linear.  Customers don’t gleefully slide down it as they rush to give you their cash.

They give a great example of converting leads using the movie Princess Bride. They use Westley trying to get to Princess Butterup as the metaphor for their conversion process. Not only does it help make sense, but its an entertaining read.

So if you looking at your real estate agent website conversion strategy
or just how to follow up after an open house, know that is not always smooth.

You are the one that has to be fluid.

Your strategy needs to be like water.

What do you think is the most important part of Lead Conversion?
