
Last year, I came across this blog post at Escape From Cubicle Nation about the big 5 mid-year game-changing questions she was asking herself.
I sent it out to all the real estate agents of the offices I was coaching and training in. I want to share them with you and invite you to ask yourself these questions, reflect, review and answer along with me.
1. What are you going to focus on? (You cannot focus on everything and make progress)
I am going to focus on giving incredible value to my clients. I want to help them build a bigger vision for their business and life. I want to help them build the business they desire, so they can live the life they deserve.
I will focus on real estate sales training and speaking to larger groups. I love working 1 to 1, but I know that I’m awesome in front of a crowd. Doing this will allow me to help more people.
I will focus on the business development for Socialcruiting.com. I have a product and service that no one else is offering and that I’m uniquely qualified to share. I will focus on doing a better job of taking consistent action on this project.
2. What are you going to improve? (You cannot grow at a sustained level without making some major system improvements. Sooner or later, you will start to lose ground in the areas that have been natural strengths)
I will improve my intake program and my traveling. These both could be solved with the right hire.
3. What are you going to grow? (You have tons of knowledge/material which just needs to be refined in order to deliver powerful benefits to the world)
I will grow the products side of my business. I have tons of content that can be packaged. My goal is to create, package and distribute 10 products and publish 2 books by the end of the year.
4. What are you going to leave behind? (If you are taking on new challenges, you will have to give some things up. And those should be the ineffective/self-sabatoging parts of your life or business that hold you back from growth)
I will leave behind doubt. I have the challenge of playing to small some times because of a lack of faith. I will also leave behind the excuse that I can’t form certain habits and rituals because of my erratic schedule and chaotic life . Even when I’m traveling I should be able to eat right and exercise.
5. What are you going to learn? We stay fresh and creative by learning new things. What topic or field lights you up that you haven’t devoted time to learn about?
I have read 5-6 psychology books about decision making in the last 3 weeks. I love learning about psychology and especially when economics come in to play with it. I have been flirting with the idea of launching a book review website, where I can also interview authors. This would keep me on task for learning something new every week.
